This vintage solid mahogany wood vanity is another one of those pieces that had been neglected, and I couldn’t wait to bring out her beauty again! I painted the base in Annie Sloan Graphite Chalk Paint, and sealed it with wax. The top was stained with General Finishes Black Gel Stain, sealed with High Performance Satin Top Coat.

The top drawers were lined with this beautiful rose poster, and the pulls were replaced with these BEAUTIFUL rose pulls. I LOVE this piece!

She’s stunning…

This 1920’s buffet is almost 100 years old, and she show’s it. All of her bumps and wrinkles and ware marks just show all the time she has lived though. I was so very excited to find her!

She was painted in CeCe Caldwell Vintage White Clay and Chalk Paint, the top stained with General Finishes Java Gel Stain. The paint was sealed with wax, the top was sealed with General Finishes High Performance Satin Top Coat. I lightly distressed the painted area, and she shines like the beauty she is.

The top drawer pulls didn’t match, and weren’t original. I searched and searched until I found the perfect set! It matched the design on the woodwork, they were meant to be!

The sides of the drawers were painted and stenciled.

The top drawers were lined in blue velvet, the bottom drawers in raised textured wall paper. This piece was given a new life, and is cherished by it’s new owner.

Another one of my favorite pieces! If I could I would keep them all!

A client brought me her $20 find, and asked that it be painted blue. She decided that Nepolatian Blue Annie Sloan Chalk Paint was the color she wanted. First, (always the first step) was to clean it up and take those stickers off. Then, the sanding. Once I started sanding I was starting to see how beautiful the wood top was under that brown paint! I asked my client if she would consider the top stained instead of painted, the wood, even though not perfect was too beautiful to cover with paint again!

My client and I were talking about the hardware for the dresser and I asked her to hold off on purchasing anything until after I had cleaned up the hardware. I had a feeling it was going to look perfect against the blue once it was cleaned up!

As an added surprise, the sides of the drawers were painted and stenciled..

This piece looks beautiful in her home entryway!

This sweet vintage dresser had been painted a few times by previous owners. It had a really rough white paint layer, underneath that was a red color, she was looking sad and worn. I sanded her down and began to make her beautiful again.

This vintage 1950’s dresser was painted with CeCe Caldwell Michigan Pine, and Vintage White  Clay and Chalk Paint, sealed with wax. The drawers were painted white on the insides with stencil details on the front. The top drawer was missing, so a shelf was added.

She is a beautiful piece!!!

Ohhhhh the places you will go!!! This is one of my favorite pieces (I say that about a lot of my pieces!). I found this in an online sale- it was just this cute little piece of furniture, maple stained wood, nothing special… I KNEW it could be special!

I painted this piece in Aubusson Blue, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and sealed it with clear wax… On the inside of the desk, I added a map of the Virginia area. This is one of the details I love about this piece.

The new hardware was the prefect finishing touch for this little secretary desk!
