When I was shopping for a new desk for our home, I was frustrated with the price and the options I was finding in stores. I started looking online, at yard sale sites, and online sale sites and decided that I really wanted to own a vintage secretary desk. It was solid, beautiful, and would fit into the space in our home. I was on a mission, because once I started really looking, I wanted a specific desk, one made by Maddox, with five serpentine drawers, and of course in good condition. My plan was to find one, buy it and paint it with chalk paint… The search was on. It took a few months to find just what I was looking for. I fell in love with it!

After buying that desk I realized that vintage and antique furniture was made to last, the quality is something that you can not find in all furniture that is made today. I started looking for more furniture to put my love and labor into. I want nothing more than to make these pieces shine again so that they will be loved and enjoyed for years to come. I am always looking to make my pieces one of a kind and something special. Each piece I find has been treated with love and care, bringing it back to life.
